SAR Minutes
October 21,2017
Meeting called to order @1310 followed with The Pledge of Allegiance and The SAR Pledge.
Attendance was 10 (?).
The Wright family attended to accept their late father/grandfather’s initiation into SAR.
The Treasurer reported an ending balance of $3,910.28 and noted that some of us deadbeats need to pay our dues.
Betty Winholtz of Morro Bay gave an interesting talk about her town, including early settlors, the town’s evolution including its bohemian beginnings, the fishing industry, The Army, and PG&E. She discussed the effect each had in the town’s history, ending as a tourist destination and counting a steady 10,000 population. The city is working on a number of modern problems.
The meeting adjourned with the closing pledge at around 1420.
Respectfully,
David A. Tissue
